EMERGENCY CHILL CLINIC

Jimmy Cauty and Confidence Man, team up for a new immersive film screening

PERFORMANCE DATES 17TH-21ST APRIL

Kings Road, Chelsea

Aussie partystarters Confidence Man have teamed up with The KLF’s Jimmy Cauty and his TowerBlock1 studio for an immersive, audiovisual experience called the Emergency Chill Clinic (ECC).

The Emergency Chill Clinic (ECC) is a recovery experience for participants in need of decompression. Set in a hospital-inspired environment, the event incorporates film, sound, and sensory care to recalibrate overstimulated minds and bodies. The centrepiece of the experience is the Emergency Chill Clinic Film by TowerBlock1, a hyper-stimulating ambient visual journey paired with a reimagined soundtrack of Confidence Man’s 3AM (LA LA LA), also remixed by TowerBlock1. The film challenges conventional notions of "relaxation" by engaging participants' senses in a dynamic, controlled environment. Controlled Chaos for Cognitive Reset.

The ECC bridges the frenetic energy of a rave and the serenity of recovery through a unique sensory approach. The accompanying film, a cornerstone of the event, provides a controlled overstimulation experience to balance and ground attendees, offering a transition from the chaotic energy of the night to a meditative state of focus and renewal. Patients will be guided through their ECC experience by ‘Chill Clinicians’, going through health reports, relaxation techniques and diagnostic checks before being tucked into bed to experience the film.

About Confidence Man

Since they high-kicked into view with their 2018 breakthrough album, Confidence Man have won hearts and lost minds around the world with their arch pop-dance confections and cute choreo – but, like, in a hot way. Following the huge acclaim of 2022’s TILT, Confidence Man entered a club-focused chapter with the release of 2023’s ‘On & On (Again)’, co-produced with Daniel Avery, as well as underground hits with DJ Seinfeld (‘Now U Do’) and DJ BORING (‘Forever 2 (Crush Mix)’. On their latest album 3AM (LA LA LA), Janet Planet, her floppy-haired foil Sugar Bones and instrumentalists Clarence McGuffie and Reggie Goodchild delved deeper into UK rave sounds of the 90s and 2000s, from trippy acid techno and trance to breakbeat and big beat. Last week was an action-filled return for Confidence Man as they headed to the BRIT Awards, where they were nominated for Best International Group. 2024 was a landmark year for the band - their global headline tour culminated in two raucous sold-out Brixton Academy shows, they won Best Live Act at the Rolling Stone UK Awards, won Best Breakthrough Act at the BBC Radio 1 Dance Awards and were also featured in this year’s BBC Sound Poll list.

Confidence Man have quickly attracted a hardcore fanbase of ravers, young and old, through their jaw-dropping, high octane performances. Renowned for their internet breaking appearances at Glastonbury, last year they played no less than 4 sets across the weekend, including stepping up to the Other Stage on Friday afternoon to one of the biggest crowds of the weekend, as well as hosting their revered club night, Active Scenes, that became a literal road block at the Greenpeace stage. Rave reviews across the weekend lauded them as "the greatest live act in the world (probably) at Glastonbury 2024". They have just returned from a string of sold-out shows across Europe and are currently on their biggest US tour to date.
